"Phosphorescent came out of Monday's race well. After looking over plans for the rest of the year, we have decided to ship Phosphorescent to Lupe Preciado in the Midatlantic for a spring and summer campaign. We sent Phosphorescent to the Fair Grounds for the winter to see if he took to the turf. It looks as if he is equally adept on the turf and dirt. We will have more options with Monmouth, Philadelphia, Delaware and Penn National all open there will be more races on both surfaces available to us. Of course, we can also go to Maryland if Phosphorescent steps up his game and see if there are any statebred stakes races. Reaistically, the purses are so poor in Maryland that we'd pick and choose our spots there. Later in the summer Colonial Downs opens and they, too, offer a lot of turf. We would not be precluded from shipping up to Saratoga, too, but realistically we need to find races where Phosphorescent can win. He will need to improve his figures to be a steady allowance horse, but if he does not there are more mid-level claiming races with excellent purse structure in the Midatlantic."
