Sad News

Just received phone call Mr Fantasy has been off his feed for the last couple of days so after talks with Kiaran its decided that he will not run on April 4th or head to The Derby . We feel that pushing him now may not be best for him as he is still young so we will aim for The Withers on April 25th and if that goes well The Preakness

Phosphorescent came out of his game effort in the Hansel on Saturday in good shape. Dale was proud of how he ran in the comeback effort, being that he was only beaten three lengths in the minor stakes race. Dale gave him a few days off and then resumed galloping him again. He did not feel the polytrack was in any way a factor as to why he lost. There is an "A other than" at Keeneland on April 17th that we will look at as a potential target for Phos.

  1. Very Sorry about Mr Fantasy. He should be real tough in the Withers! I also thought Phosy looked like he liked the synthetic.

  3. Sad that Mr. Fantasy will not be heard from in the Wood but very glad he is being so well cared for. This is my favorite horse in the world (really!) and I know he is in good hands. I know we'll get to see him run soon enough and know he will always give it all he's got. Mr. Fantasy in Saratoga...oh, summer can't get here soon enough! Will keep checking here to see if the Preakness is a go.

  4. Hi Guys
I just had quick question about Terrys quote on the bloodhorse. He said “Kiaran hadn’t seen him in a while and when he looked at him before heading to Dubai he felt he was tucked up ever so slightly, and that was enough for us take him off the Derby trail,” What does he mean by "tucked up" I have only heard this to refer to a horse as being fit. I was just wondering what he meant. Did he think he looked like he was tied up slightly? Just confused.

We all dream of the Derby but you probably made the correct choice long term for your colt. I have to applaud the decision, especially by a large partnership group. Its difficult to back away from a dream. I was also impressed with Eric Fein not running to the derby this year.
