We scoped him after the race and discovered that he had a significant amount of mucus in his trachea. That can cause a horse to come up empty. We'll knock that out. Horses will run more like you expect when you clear that junk out of their lungs."
The Defense Rests earned a 75 Beyer in the race. Mike reports that he will give The Defense Rests a few days of antibiotics and keep him off the track. This should knock out the congestion, and we should be ready to run back in the first half of July.
